What is an Oxymel?
The simplest definition of an Oxymel is a powerful medicinal preparation of vinegar and raw honey, infused with a selection of herbs.
The Benefits of Oxymels:
Both apple cider vinegar and honey have been used for centuries as natural healing remedies. The organic apple cider vinegar I use contains the “mother” which has strands of proteins and enzymes and helpful bacteria contained within it. The organic thyme honey has powerful bacteria fighting properties.
These two ingredients alone, when taken on a daily basis, are incredibly beneficial to your body. Unfortunately Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) can be almost impossible to take for some due to the sour taste. So when you add the ACV and honey together, along with the herbal infusion, you get a delicious immune supporting Oxymel.

- Organic Apple Cider Vinegar: Made with NZ Apples and contains the “mother”.
- Organic Thyme Honey which has been freshly extracted from my friends hive in Central Otago. Then I have gently warmed it to dissolve the crystals and poured it through a honey sieve to remove any debris (other plant matter, bee body parts (haha), etc). The result is pure, magical, medicinal honey.
- Organic Herbs: sourced locally and internationally from registered organic farms. Each herb has been carefully selected for its medicinal properties appropriate for the condition it will assist with.
